I have known Frank Potestio for the last five years as a personal baseball instructor in Oakland. He has worked with both my sons during their Little League years on hitting and pitching and has been a trusted and invaluable resource to all of us. Frank is knowledgeable, personable, and operates with a high level of integrity. I have also observed many of his coaching sessions with different levels of players and always been impressed with the results he helps his students achieve. I recommend him wholeheartedly as a baseball instructor!

My son Max, now a junior at St. Mary’s where he plays outfield for the varsity team, started seeing Frank when he was in the fourth grade. Ever since then, seeing Frank has been a staple of our weekend, and we have missed very few times, bad weather notwithstanding. Early on, Max learned the fundamentals from Frank and he learned to be confident in his own ability. Today Max still learns something new about hitting and fielding every week. As important as Frank’s technical abilities are, I am constantly impressed by his ability to relate to his students, no matter their ages.

My son, who has been working with Frank Potestio for a few years, is a much more effective and confident baseball player thanks to Frank's coaching. If you are looking for a coach to help your son or daughter improve their pitching, hitting and/or fielding, you cannot find a better teacher than Frank. He starts with fundamentals of form and strategy and builds confidence with encouragement and advice. He also has great stories from his baseball career. I have recommended Frank highly to a number of friends and acquaintances.

We have three sons, one who played Division 1 college baseball, one who is currently a varsity player at Bishop O'Dowd, and one in the eighth grade, and they have all enjoyed working with Frank. He teaches the essentials of pitching and hitting in a way that improved all of their skills while taking into account their age levels and made it fun in the process. We have suggested him many times to others as a good resource for any ball player trying to improve his game.

Anyone whose child has an interest in becoming a pitcher should spend time with Frank Potestio. Frank teaches proper throwing mechanics and cares deeply about the health and success of his students. He has been a wonderful instructor and role model for my son.

Frank as worked with our oldest son, Eric, for over five years. While focusing on the fundamentals of baseball, Frank has helped him to improve on both the mental and physical aspects of his baseball skill set to avoid the bad habits and practices that can lead to injuries.
Our son is now playing on his high school team and a traveling baseball team, and continues to work with Frank several times a month to progress as a baseball player.
Our youngest son is now also working with Frank to build the fundamentals necessary to improve his baseball skills. We highly recommend Frank as a baseball coach.

Frank is the best one-on-one baseball coach I know. He knows the game backwards and forwards, and his coaching sessions are thorough and well thought out. The best thing, however, is that to Frank every player he works with is his MOST important client. He makes each child feel truly special.
How can he do that? If there is anything that doesn’t sit well with you, or your child, or if you want something longer, he’ll change it. I asked my son Michael why he likes Frank’s lessons and he seconded the “makes every client feel special” comment. That’s a rare ability.
